I proudly present to you another pile of crap composed of items 11 through 15: cheap headphones, an elastic headband from by basketball days, a dog treat pouch, an incense holder, and a protective travel case for a water filter (why?!).
The headband has some sentimental value as there will always be a small part of me that wants to bring those basketball days back. Letting go of things that were part of that chapter, no matter how small the part, is never fun.
I bought the incense holder at the New York Culture Center of the SGI USA, the Buddhist organization that I am a member of. I already had one but it felt like the right thing to do to get some basic items for my practice at their store. Funny that I felt compelled to buy stuff when starting this Buddhist practice…
The dog treat pouch is today’s equivalent to yesterday’s calf stretcher: a waste of money. There’s not much else to say about that. I’m not a dog whisperer and I never will be as much as I like to pretend that snapping my fingers has any effect on our pups – so no need for dog whisperer gear.
